Accommodations in Ajijic

When in Ajijic, you will be responsible for your own accommodations. Though there are many B&B’s, boutique hotels, and some short-term apartment and house rentals in Ajijic, they can fill up quickly between January and the end of March. We recommend the following hotels and Inns that are near our Ajijic office location.

Hotel Hacienda del Lago is a boutique hotel/spa/restaurant with a pool. It faces Lake Chapala and is just a 10-minute walk from our office.

Casa del Sol Inn is a Mexican-style Inn with a small outdoor pool, a dedicated chef on site, and a common area that features the work of local artists and sculptors. Elizabeth, the owner, hosts authentic Mexican musical events, a book club and much more. It is located 10-15 minute walk from us.

Villa Pajara de Sol is a bit pricier, but with a magnificent view of the lake and the mountains. The rooms are beautifully decorated. It features a large pool and dining room for breakfasts. It is only a 3 minute walk from us.

Hotel Casa Yellotzin is just half a block from the central plaza in Ajijic, and two blocks from the “Malecon” (Ajijic’s beautiful boardwalk), where we are located. The dining room is open to the public and has an excellent chef. It is a very pretty boutique hotel that opened in 2024. The rooms are simple but colourful, and surround an open air courtyard at the back of the hotel.

There are many more wonderful hotels, Inns and Bed and Breakfasts below that offer a variety of prices and availabilities.
